//what a feeling it is to be forgotten (Published on 2/6/26 5:56 PM

//You can't ever truly die unless you're forgotten, but what happens when you're forgotten before it's even over. Under a bridge, in a retirement home, working retail, or just blending in. The entire memory of you is gone; what remains is a husk of what once was clouded by the years. Everything that made you is no more in the minds of those who were close to you. Not that the memory was truly you to begin with. Drifting along as just another face that isn't to be remembered. The interactions grow few, and the memories fade, oh do they fade. Just one more grain of salt, drifting through a dead sea. Hoping one day that there may be more to do than just kill time. Yet nothing ever comes, for the train already left the station, and there is nowhere left to stand but the tracks.
