Traffic and people (Published on 2/5/26 4:43 PM
//a sea of people surrounds you, and you wade through them without a second thought. You meet someones eyes, for just a second. You don't know them, and as they turn away and continue walking, you realize that you never will. I think the fact that it is a usual occurrence here is why being in the city bothers me so much. My hometown had about 700-800 people in it. That was a lot to me then, but just the school has almost a hundred thousand people. So many faces that you'll only see once...
//Sorta like why driving on the highway makes me reflect, each car you pass going either the same way or on the road next to you is a living, breathing person. All have lives, memories, struggles, triumphs, and most of all stories that very few will hear. But we just drive by them, never to cross paths again. Our only interaction drifting along at night on that endless road.
//what an odd feeling it is to be forgotten. In essance that's the only death I fear.
